Phillip Island Day 1

We're showing Will's mum, Lil and 'ickle sister Ev around Aus at the moment - they rocked up as a suprise to wish him a happy 40th. We headed down to Phillip Island to have a bit of time on the beach and a gander at the penguins. We got rained out the last couple of days, but got in a good day at the beach first.

Critics be silenced. Bubba Updates is updated.

Things I wish I had caught on video

Finian singing ABC at 16 months, with some of the letters recognisable and perfectly in tune (Jul-Aug 2010)
Any of Aoife's many crazy monologues (eg see post 14-08-09)
Euey getting bitten by a horse on the eyebrow (July 09)
Aoife singing 'one for the Master, for da da da day' (Nov 08 - mid Feb 09)
Aoife wrapping up her new monkey in her blanket and dragging it around with her everywhere she went for two days. (Oct 08)
Euey reading himself a story and responding 'wait a sec, I'm busy' when I call him for dinner. (Oct '08)
Aoife reading the lady bug story to herself, counting the lady bugs '2, 2, 2, 2'. (June 08)
Aoife just learning to nod her head in answer to a question - I asked 'do you want some milk' and she nodded her head so hard she lost balance and fell on her bum. (May 08)
Euey reading the lady bug story to Aoife, counting the lady bugs '1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8'. (April 08)
Euey looking at Aoife wearing Will's sunglasses and exclaiming 'Cool dude!'. (Feb 08)
Aoife's first few days crawling - she looked like one of those wind-up crawling babies.
Euey sawing the floor with his imaginary sword (a bit of train track) and announcing that he was 'swording'.
Aoife clapping for the first time in response to Euey's excitment.
Will falling asleep in Euey's bed while putting him to sleep, then jerking awake and kicking the huge ride-on Fire Engine, which yells "woooh wooooh, Great job!"
Euey pointing to Mr Thin in the Mr Men series and saying "Mr Sausage" (Aug 07)
Aoife reaching out and helping herself to a handful of my Maccas hashbrown - then eating it all with a huge grin on her face. (Her true Irishness comes out whenever potato is around) (Aug 07)
Euey coming around the corner to see Aoife standing up (holding Will's hand) and exclaiming "God!". (July 07)
Euey naming a picture of Bert and Ernie "Bernie" and a grasshopper "Gropper".
My face at 6am when Will pointed behind me as we lay in bed and I rolled over to see a small form grinning at me. (Oohps forgot he could get out of bed now!)
Will doing 'thumbs up' to Euey and Euey replying with Ross's retort to 'the finger' (from 'Friends').
