Aoife's words

I've been telling myself to write down a list of words Aoife can say for weeks now. Ever since she popped out with 'shoe' in fact, which was maybe even a month ago now. So here I go, I think it will be pretty long by now. Most of them are easily recognisable, but some we only know cause we've heard her use them in context so many times (they're the ones with pronounciation codes in brackets!).

  • Mummy
  • Daddy
  • shoe
  • Euey
  • hat
  • open
  • belly button (bubu-bubu)
  • more (the most often used word!)
  • hot (sounds more like 'woa')
  • outside ('outide')
  • up
  • down
  • Bubble
  • ball
  • glasses
  • cool (as in 'cool dude!')
  • five (as in 'high five')
  • raaaa (what a lion, tiger, dinosaur and giraffe say, apparently)
  • poo (she tells us as soon as she's done one, which should make for easy toilet training!)
  • doggy
  • ducky (and quack quack)
  • bath (which she loves, as soon as you say the word she shouts it back to you and runs off to the bathroom)
  • nana (as in banana)
  • yuck (which she says when you give her nana most of the time)
  • eye
  • nose ('moe')
  • off
