Aoife pulled a chair up next to me this afternoon.
"I sit next to you Mum".
Great I said, I'd like that. Unfortunately I didn't pay as close attention to what came next and nearly missed it. She started patting me, it took me a while to notice, but when I looked down at her she was peering up with an adoring look and she said
"Nice t-shirt Mummy, nice t-shirt Mummy".
It's the first compliment she's ever paid me.
